Job Title: Trade Execution Specialist

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos.
Contract Type: Full-Time.
Reports To: CFO/CEO.

 

Role

  • As a Trade Execution Specialist, you will support Commodity Traders in placing trades on the derivatives markets.
  • Your role involves ensuring compliance with internal controls, regulations, and policies, and preparing daily marked-to-market accounting reports.

 

Responsibilities

Trade Execution Supervisors:

  • Oversee the Trade Execution Team and report directly to the CFO/CEO.
  • Ensure all trades comply with internal controls, regulations, and policies.
  • Enter trades directly with brokers.
  • Prepare daily marked-to-market accounting reports to measure and manage risk.

Trade Execution Officers:

  • Receive trade instructions from the Supervisors.
  • Ensure trades are accurately entered and end-of-day reports are issued.

 

Requirements

Experience:

  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Teams, and other Office products.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Understanding of derivative markets (intensive one-month training program provided).

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to think on your feet and make quick decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
