Product Manager at Panoptyc (Earn $4000 Monthly)

Hi, I’m Ross, VP of Operations here at Panoptyc.

We help convenience store and micro-market businesses fight theft that’s affecting their profits. Through a combination of AI software and expert video investigators, we review CCTV footage to identify and flag potential theft incidents so operators and business owners can report and prevent it from happening again.

Even with our amazing software, it takes a large team of expert video reviewers and investigators to be sure we only flag genuine theft incidents.

We’re headquartered in the US with a team of 40 people, spread across the US, Canada and the Philippines. Our video investigators and team leads are in the Philippines and we’re expanding our global team footprint as we seek someone from Eastern Europe or South Africa to join us in this crucial role. We’ve got over 200 video investigators who all work remotely, reporting to 8 team leads.

Here’s a quick video that explains what we do: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5QcUl5rGFk

You could think of us a bit like a call center operation, just without any calls! Or a business process outsourcing center; in our case, the process is video investigators reviewing CCTV footage.

With an operation of this size, we need someone to come in and lead and optimise the team, the processes, and everything that surrounds this area of our business.

That’s where you come in.

You’ll love the process, you’ll love people, and you’ll be able to balance the need for an efficient process with the challenge of cascading changes across hundreds of people. You will recognize that even small changes that deliver just a few percent in cost efficiency can save a LOT of money when multiplied across a team of our size.

As the product manager at Panoptyc, you’ll oversee and ensure adherence to our product processes and product meetings, manage our product analysts, and ensure their compliance with processes. Understanding when to apply or not apply AI to a problem and experience with back-office applications is preferred, as we are a human-in-the-loop system. You will report to the Chief of Staff to the VP of Product and work closely and daily with the CTO/Head of Engineering.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the team’s success by providing access to resources and scheduling one-on-one meetings as needed.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, assign tasks to team members, and negotiate timelines and deliverables when necessary.
  • Prioritize tasks, make decisions, and communicate any changes or decisions to achieve our goals.
  • Balance being an individual contributor and a team player.
  • Show dedication and accountability in projects and decisions, keeping team members accountable and giving credit where it’s due.
  • Understand metrics, their impact, and the implications of not meeting them.

  • Experience in creating UI/UX mockups, PRDs, and proficiency in documenting and assisting with support tickets.

As the ideal candidate, you should be:

  • Dependable—more reliable than spontaneous.
  • Analytical—skilled at analyzing financial data and problem-solving.
  • Adaptable and flexible—comfortable with frequent shifts in direction and priorities.
  • Detail-oriented—focused on the details of work rather than the bigger picture.
