- The corporate sales manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate clients and driving sales growth. The role bearer will set realistic expectations and push through on these expectations with determination and drive to make company revenues grow as much as possible.
- This person is responsible for the implementation of annual sales, monitoring the performance of teams and sales goals, and meeting with other company managers to ensure that business objectives are executed properly and right on schedule. This role will identify new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, and develop customized sales strategies to meet client needs.
- The role bearer will also lead and motivate a team of sales executives, provide coaching and guidance, and track sales performance. The role requires a proactive and results-oriented mindset, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- The candidate must use initiative and independent judgment to analyze, problem-solve and proactively support senior marketers and clients.
- Partner with the senior director on corporate sales strategy in the assigned region and other international regions as needed.
- Assists in implementing sales management processes, analyzes sales accounts, and does cost and performance analysis of existing customers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients.
- Identify new business opportunities and prospects within the corporate sector.
- Create and deliver customized sales presentations to potential clients.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and delivery of services.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
- Track and report on sales performance and revenue growth.
- Provide coaching and guidance to the sales team.
- Stay updated on industry developments and best practices.
- Retention and acquisition of business for the corporate market.
- Supporting the Director of Sales in matters relating to the Sales function within the hotel.
- Participating in weekly yield meetings and monthly strategic meetings.
- Achieve the sales goals and objectives that are being set by the management.
- Build rapport with key corporate accounts.
- Monitor and analyze sales, adoption, and engagement metrics.
- Suggest actions to improve sales and engagement performance and identify opportunities for growth.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing Sales or a related field.
Experience:
- 10 years of work experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role of proven track record in sales positions, preferably in B2B markets, selling technology, machinery, or services.
- Demonstrated experience in handling multi-million naira accounts.
- Firm networks in various industries.
- 3-5+ years of demonstrable track record in a Business-to-Business (B2B) Sales or Account manager capacity; Having successfully sold to multinational companies will be an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience in client engagement and an ability to deliver high-touch VIP customer service.
- Experience in sales and engagement performance metrics and how to act on them.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and closing skills.
- High, positive energy and an ability to orchestrate and sustain a rich cadence of client activities, such as on-site presentation sessions, webinars, etc.
- Analytical skills and the ability to work hands-on with data are a strong asset.
- Willingness to travel.
