    Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced risk officer to join our risk management team.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that may impact our financial well-being and reputation.
    • The risk officer will work closely with various departments to ensure that our risk management practices are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and non-financial risks.
    • Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
    • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to senior management.
    • Collaborate with departments to ensure risk-informed decision-making.
    • Develop and maintain risk models and monitoring tools.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Provide risk training and awareness programs for employees.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging risks.

     

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
    • Professional certification (e.g., FRM, PRM, CRMP).
    • At least 3 years of experience in risk management in a finance company.
    • Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulations.
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

    Nice to Have:

    • Master’s degree in finance, risk management, or a related field.
    • Experience with risk management software and systems.
    • Knowledge of data analytics.
