Job Role
- We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Finance Associate to lead financial reporting and planning at Fluna. If you have a strong mastery of Excel, are quick with numbers, and have knowledge of accounting principles, this role would be perfect for you!
- In addition, you will have the opportunity to work directly with investors together with the CEO, and be part of debt/equity fundraising efforts.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Build and maintain financial models to support business planning with C-suite and investor presentations.
- Help prepare materials for board meetings and investor updates.
- Lead due diligence processes by gathering and organizing financial documentation for potential investors.
- Work directly with external stakeholders including investors, auditors, accountants and regulators.
- Reconcile accounts and ledgers to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis at a top-tier audit firm, consulting firm or investment firm.
- Startup experience or working at a high-growth startup is a plus.
Must have skills:
- Financial modelling.
- Excel.
- QuickBooks.
- Accounting principles and practices (CPA or CB is a plus).
- Financial analysis.
