Job Summary
- We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Research Intern with a background in Agricultural Economics.
- This intern will contribute to an in-house project focused on securing funding for agricultural research and value-added agro-processing initiatives.
- You will play an essential role in conducting research, analyzing data, and mapping key stakeholders, including potential funders, industry leaders, and government bodies.
Responsibilities
Research & Analysis:
- Perform comprehensive research related to the project’s focus areas, including agricultural economics, sustainable practices, and funding opportunities.
Stakeholder Mapping:
- Identify, categorize, and analyze key stakeholders involved in agriculture and related funding (e.g., government agencies, NGOs, financial institutions, industry partners).
- Develop stakeholder engagement strategies to support project objectives, including outreach and relationship-building.
Reporting & Presentation:
- Assist in preparing detailed reports and presentations based on research findings and stakeholder mapping.
- Support the creation of grant proposals and funding applications by providing data and analysis on stakeholders and economic impact.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with team members using digital tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, etc.) to collaborate on project progress and tasks.
- Participate in team meetings, providing input based on research and stakeholder analysis.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Agricultural Economics, Economics, or a related field.
- Research and analytical skills, especially in agriculture and economics.
- Understanding of the economic landscape and its impact on agriculture.
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Skills:
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Proficiency with collaborative tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
- Good verbal communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently while supporting the team in meeting project objectives.
- Critical thinking and attention to detail.
