We are hiring for:
Job Title: Account Officer.
Location: Lagos.
Contract Type: Full-time.
Reports To: Assistant Chief Accountant, Chief Accountant & Head of Finance.
Role Objective
- Focus on local ICP reconciliation.
Essential Duties
- Reconciliation of Intercompany for the company.
- Posting of GIT and reverse after close end.
- Relieve Cashier at all locations.
- Relieve on bank postings.
- Intercompany reconciliation for Ex-plc & Loxea.
- Any other job that may be assigned by the superior officer.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting/Finance related courses.
- Membership in any relevant professional body, preferably ICAN is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years related work experience as a financial accountant, financial controller, or Auditor.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Use of accounting software experience in SAGE.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Applies accounting principles and concepts in recording and analyzing business and financial transactions, in accordance with professional and regulatory/statutory requirements.
- Applying Month-End Close concepts and procedures to enable the closure of accounting books in a timely and accurate fashion.
- General knowledge of the uses and applications of MS Office suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Awareness of business trends.
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
