Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist (Hematology Division).
Location: Warri, Delta.
Contract Type: Full-time.
Job Summary
- The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to diagnose and monitor diseases and conditions related to hematology.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized hematology tests, including blood counts, coagulation studies, and bone marrow examinations.
- Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration and quality control procedures.
- Collect, process, and analyze blood samples according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss test results and provide diagnostic information.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of laboratory tests and results.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in hematology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) or equivalent.
- Current practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hematology laboratory.
- Proficiency in the use of laboratory equipment and technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and laboratory practice.
